"The village lost several people to cancer, apart from Red. One of them was my friend Niki- I first met her when she took all the children dancing in the bottom field of the village, where the river ran.

It was a hazy May day (I think); a crowd of children, all floating through the trees; running across the grass, following Niki's lead.

Along with others in the village, I drove Niki to hospital a few times; she was extremely intelligent, and several profound conversations would happen in the hospital cafe; conversations I was to repeat, with Red, only a couple of years later.

This song emerged very quickly- a year after Red had passed, some friends (who'd been at the original meeting) arranged a barbecue in that same field; I felt out of sorts...but the next day, on returning to Moretonhampstead, the lyrics emerged as a complete set of words. I knew immediately they were for Niki".

Wonderful, beautiful, densely layered music. I'm glad I gave this album several headphone listens before commenting. It did not immediately strike a chord with me, but the more I listened the more I began to understand and appreciate how fantastically rich and deep the sound is. Soothfully a phenomenal prog rock album—an instant classic. What motivates me to say so, is the music’s incredible expressiveness & its wonderfully cinematic song structures. Jargon is a very good fit with this band. It is quite evident that the band’s current lineup have great chemistry together & that they share a common affinity to this vein of music.
